[comp.sys.zenith] Dead Supersport 286

HELP! For no apparent cause, my Supersport 286 laptop 'died' suddenly
overnight. It worked fine last night when I turned it off, and this
morning, well ... here are the symptoms:

At power on, all the usual lights flash briefly, but then go off and stay
off, including the power light. The machine sounds fine, though. The
hard drive spins, and the floppy reacts when a disk is inserted. The screen
glows its usual blue at power on, but does not then shift to it's normal
'white' with blue text. It just stays all blue. CTRL-ALT-DEL does nothing.
The keyboard seems dead. In other words, it seems like all the components
are probably fine, but something on the main board which controls them all
has just quit. I am planning to call Zenith later today, but would
greatly appreciate any suggestions from the net. The machine just less than
two years old, and does not get much abuse. It rarely leaves my desktop.

Thanks for listening, and I will thank you again profusely if and when I
receive any suggestions. Most of the people on this newsgroup seem to know
what they're talking about.
