Hello All; Does anyone still have a Zenith Z-19 terminal or the manual for one or does anyone know anything about them ??? I have this terminal but I lost the manual and I'm trying to to use it to dial into a mainframe computer system with a Microcom (Non Hayes Compatible, I'm told) modem. The computer is something like an IBM 370 (I'm not sure exactly what the model number is) but it runs the VM/SP operating system. At any rate ... for some reason, the Z-19 won't generate the proper codes for things to work correctly and we suspect that number of data bits, or parity being sent by the terminal may be the problem. Can anyone offer any suggestions which may help us ??? Also ... the function keys don't seem to be generating the right codes. We could also a list of the DIP switch settings if anyone has a manual available. Thank you very much for you assistance. Tim W. Tim Dedula Internet: N.A.S.A.
