One of my two 10 meg disks on a Zenith 158 has gone south. Is there any way to regain access to it given the symptoms below? Would Spinrite II or OPTUNE be of any use and could it have prevented this situation? Currently, I get +++ Seek error when trying to boot from the disk. Booting from the other HD I get no access whatsoever - drive not found. When I first started dealing with the problem, I got the same boot message but was able to access the drive after booting from A:. But, I could only DIR the root directory. Couldn't do anything that involved a file access like CD, TYPE, execute, etc. Using NDD norton disk doctor and NE norton disk editor, the disk showed as entirely Binary zero except for the root directory, boot sector and FAT. Eventually, as I expected, I made things worse using NDD and NE. Is there any hope? Thanks in advance. Wayne Mery Lehigh University LUWSM@VAX1.cc.lehigh.edu LUWSM@LEHIIBM1.BITNET
