Has anyone out there attempted to control the Philips CDV-475 (PAL) CD-Video combi player for ivideodisc applications? The Philips is the obvious candidate (among the PAL players) because the only other one (Pioneer CLD-1200) doesn't have CAV trick frame facilities. The Philips also has RGB out (useful for computer monitors) and an external remote control port. Does anyone know anything about the Philips (?) RC-5 remote control standard, and the feasability of generating these control signals from a PC (or RS-232 serial line)? Thanks for your help. Regards, Bevis. PS: Anyone else out there use a disk player for films, music, etc? 8-).
