I need some information on a Sony model 1000A videodisc player. I am planning on writing/purchasing some interactive video software, and I need to know if this Sony model can be controlled by a computer. Does anyone know anything about this model? Yes, the Sony LDP-1000A has an RS-232 interface and can be controlled by an external computer. You'll want the "Interface Guide", a 20-page extra document from them if you're writing your own interface code.
