I've just started using Icon on the mac under MPW 3.0 and I have a few questions. First of all, the mem01 test goes off the deep end after running for a few minutes. The output file in the "stand" folder shows that it should print out the numbers 1 to 100 and then quit with a runtime error and it seems to do this with the version of Icon I have running under unix, but on the Mac it runs for a few minutes and then crashes with not output. There are also a couple of other things that don't seem to work such as (\system). Has anyone else had these problems? I noticed that the syntax of ucode has changed since the publication of "The Implementation of the Icon Language". Have the changes been documented anywhere? Also, is the format of the binary (linked) version of Icon programs documented anywhere. Thanks in advance for any help. Chris Plummer Apple Computer Inc. cjp@apple.com
