As the Amiga contact at Arizona, I feel obliged to comment on the recent discussion. Yes, making iconx resident would make Icon much more pleasant on the Amiga. There are a lot of other things that would make Icon much more pleasant on the Amiga, for that matter. While I do not have the time available to learn machine-specific environments like the Amiga, I would certainly be glad to talk to any C/Amiga-gurus interested in tackling the residence problem. If anyone makes this work and sends us some reasonable source code we'll be sure to incorporate it into the next release of Amiga Icon. This goes for other niceties that fall under the category of "Amigazation" instead of the category of "computer science research". Clint Jeffery -- P.S. I am speaking for myself.
