99er Magazine has changed its name to "Home Computer Magazine". The latest issue has been printed and mailing started the week of Feb.27th. I called them last week for this info. I also have a letter from them, about 3 week ago, stating what they are up to. In addition to what they produce for the 99, they are going to include the IBM PCjr, the Commadore 64 and the Apple IIe. They also so intend to provide translations of programs written for these 3 for the 99. If you live in the eastern half of the US, it may take to 3 or 4 weeks to get to you, due to the way the post office handles this type mail. HCM, unlike other magazines, is printed in the issue month, instead of early in the month prior to the issue date. I to would suggest that those waiting, wait a little longer, and give them a chance. They are the only one that will really support the 99. They to, like us got it in the neck from TI. phone for HCM; (503) 485-8796. Gene Sampieri ATT Bell Labs Holmdel, NJ (201)949-4707 vax135!ees

RE: Magazine support for the TI 99/4A COMPUTE! magazine has most of their programs translated for the TI. I don't have one, but a friend of mine does. The only problem that I see is that you need extended BASIC for most of them (because of sprites) and he doesn't have it.
