Conserning the request for information pertaining to
entry level books for assembler language programming:
I would recommend, if it is still available:
Introduction to computer programming IBM system/360
assembler language by Thomas J. Cashman and Gary B.
Shelly; from Anaheim Publishing Company, 1120 E. Ash
Fullertom, CA
The edition I have was printed in 1971, and is some
what dated, but contains descriptions of assembler
instructions that anyone can follow. One should note
that the syntax and operation of a MVC or any other
basic instruction won't change.
