Some time ago I wrote a VTAM application to allow a TSO user to connect with a VTAM application. In this case it was the UCC, now CA, schedular. Later I started work on a more complex application to allow a user to connect to this application and from there to connect to CICS, TSO etc. with single key jump between the two. It was only an excercise and I didn't get very far due to time pressures on real work. If this level of knowledge could be of help you can contact me at ESOC here in Darmstadt, Tel: 06151-902315. I seem to recall that there are some VTAM programs on the CBT tape (or whatever it is these days...). They might at least be helpful as examples. I wrote a replacement network solicitor back in the Dark Ages (1980?); I might still have a tape of it somewhere, send me mail if you want it and I'll try to get it to you (but I don't have access to a 370 anymore). I might also be able to answer a few questions, but be forewarned that I've never worked with LU 6.2. -- Jerry Callen jcallen@encore.com

We are programming for an LU 2 and at the moment, just figuring out some of the tasks involved in running under GCS. I may in fact send some ?'s your way if some things come up and it seems like you might have some good thoughts on it. Thanks again. Be in touch...
