Could someone plesae list how the MVS REXX differs from CMS? What is the maximum character size? Are EXECIO, GLOBEIV (hope I got these right) included? The article that was in the last IBM systems journal was a good start on design and stack operations. But I am trying to get a feel for what REXX extensions are included and what does it have missing that isi in included in the REXX language book. Anything and everything along these lines would be greatly appreciated. Hal German GTE Labs 617-466-2290.

[] I was also wondering about the existance of REXX/TSO myself. We are in the final stages of converting from VM/SP to MVS/XA and all of our utilities written in REXX are heading for archives and dust. The only thing I have heard is that REXX would only be available on the larger CPUs. We're running a 3081. Kevin Fowler (SPAC)/American Data Service Portland Oregon [] -- +---- RSN Technology, P.O. We're running a 3081. REXX is available with TSO/E Version 2. TSO/E Version 2 is available in both an MVS/XA and MVS/ESA version so you should be able to run REXX on your 3081. Many of the TSO/E V2 features are only implemented in the ESA version, but REXX is one thing that is available on both. We just installed the XA version of TSO/E V2, but since we've never run VMS here, we're a little slow getting into using REXX. -- Philip Harshman uucp: ... !gatech!hubcap!philip Employed by Clemson University inet: philip@hubcap.clemson.edu although they have no idea that bitnet: philip@clemson I'm doing this. Since no has yet answered my question about TSO/E REXX. Let me try a different approach. I would greatly appreciate someone sending me the table of contents/and or the index from the TSO/E Version 2 Release 1 Users Guide on REXX. My fax # is 617-890-9320. Please do not send anything else but the above to this number (alias junk mail). Thank you for your help. Again, I have read the IBM Sys Journal article this month but there is LOTS more I would like to know about TSO/E REXX Hal German GTE Labs Waltham,Ma 617-466-2290:
