[comp.lang.rexx] Digipaint Control Program

EAT ME

Hi there. If you remember, a while ago I posted a message about my
Arexx Digipaint Control Program. I 'foolishly' asked those interested
to mail me, and I'd send them the package.

Unfortuneately, I got much more mail I could handle. A few of you were lucky,
and got it (count: 3) before I got boared. But over 20 messages remained.

I'm sure there would be more interested in it, so I'm going to post it
directly to comp.lang.rexx, with the hopes that no one barfs endless flames
because I do it.

But I'm not going to do it right now. The reason being is that just yesterday
I called NewTek for the DigiView 4.0 update, and want to add some rediculously
neat support for it.

Other things this version's got already:

Ansi (as well as Televideo 950 (Hey? It's what I got)... and Vt52 too) support.
Much faster menu's (I decided to be generous, and took most of the menu
code from my bbs and threw it into this thing).
A few new doors, like the shell.

It's just a simple shell, written in Arexx. I just like to keep workbench
closed (obvious reasons) when I use the program, and don't like to leave
the digipaint screen. So, now there's a shell. You can't do interactive
things (like dir opt i), because of the way arexx does 'address commands',
but you can CD all over the place, copy, delete things, etc...

And you don't get any requesters popping up.

A few other things added too (basicly a re-write). A script execute command
that lets you set up long chains of arexx-digipaint commands and send them
to Digipaint at some respectable pace.

I'll post the whole thing a day or two after playing with the Digiview 4.0
update. It's not at all big (50ish K unzooed), and eats very little ram
(it 'loads' in modules from disk to save memory, and then drops the
variables). It's quite speedy if you run something like FaccII,
or copy the links to vd0: (or ram:), and make 'Type' resident.

My appologies to all those who sent me mail. But then, all good things are
worth waiting for. :-)

I must make it expressly clear, that you can't 'sell' the program or bits
of it, or put it (or bits) directly in your own programs. I'm just being
really nice and cool and letting you 'use' it. I'm just 'that kind of guy'.
I'll probably do nasty things to you and yours if I find it floating around
in another package of any sorts. The only way you can distribute it too,
is Via modem. The only disk it can 'legaly' be on, is yours. Back it
up all you like, onto hard disks, optical disks, floppies, whatever, just
don't give it anyone. Sounds silly, I know. But I've never done one of
these licence things before, and don't want to get ripped off for my ideas.
The only reason there's a licence of any sort is that some of this code
is from a near-release commercial effort. If it doesn't succeed, I don't
eat.
