[comp.lang.rexx] REXX on UN*X

QQ11@LIVERPOOL.AC.UK (Alan Thew) (03/27/90)

I now have an address in the U.S. (and one in the UK, please mail
direct for this) but that's all.

The company is:
DYNASOFT Corporation
6300 N. River Road
Suite 700
Rosemont, IL 60018
(312) 696-4450
(800) 332-3962

The product is written in C, and runs on Suns, IBM 6150 (PC/RT), SCO XENIX
BSD 4.3 type systems and System V. A claim is made that uniREXX (tm ?)
can replace shell scripts for many applications. The company also produce
a XEDIT type editor which can be used with their rexx (as in CMS).

The above information is a summary and is correct to the best of my
ability. I do not work for DYNASOFT, I'm just interested. Is anyone out
there using either of these products (has anyone tried) ?

Please reply direct to me. I'll collect any info and pass it on
to all lists (I don't have time to subscribe to them all :-)).

Thanks.

I now have a corrected address and FAX number. My apologies for those
who I mailed recently with slightly incorrect information. The company
is:

   The Workstation Group
6300 North River Road, Suite 700
   Rosemont, Illinois 60018
   (708) 696-4800
   (800) 228-0255
   (708) 696-2277 (FAX)

The Workstation Group is a subsidiary of DYNASOFT which has been formed
to market their UNIX product offerings.
uniREXX and uniX EDIT are new products as I understand.

I found reference to a Un*x based REXX and XEDIT a while back on the Net.
Unfortunately I only have a hardcopy of the features of uniREXX and uniXEDIT
and the name of the Supplier (Workstation Group). For more information you
could contact the poster of the info: HARPER@rs1.vuw.ac.nz
