There will be a BOF for NNTP managers on Tuesday night, 6-8pm. I think the title I picked was "NNTP and the Internet." This conflicts with the ATT Unix machines, Women, and the Unix Standards BOF's. It preceeds the GNU and OSF BOF's. This is for NNTP usage among Internet sites, and is not to discuss using NNTP on a local network. An agenda, in rough priority order is: +Should we try to bring order to our connectivity? Yes, no, why? What are the goals -- minimal or maximal redundancy? How does this change as the world becomes pay-for-play? +As a related question, do we need or want more organization? +nntpxmit -- how often do you do it (real time)? Got anything better? +The "biz" groups. +NNTP and BITNET and VMS and other strange creatures +Other stuff (e.g., where to get a good pizza and beer in Baltimore) If you're able to make it, consider sending me your sys file so that I can try to fulfill a foolish promise and make some maps beforehand. If not, don't worry, I'll post minutes. /rich $alz -- Please send comp.sources.unix-related mail to rsalz@uunet.uu.net.
