I posted a note here about a week ago regarding a problem with rrn we'd been seeing (exacerbated by the move to nntp 1.5.5 from 1.5.4). Symptoms included blank (empty) articles, and a mismatch between rrn's perception of article IDs and the server machine's filesystem. As yet, no one has responded; am I posting to the wrong place? One particular machine is experiencing the problem more than any of the others. Some more characteristics of the problem follow, courtesy one of the more dedicated (frustrated?) users. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From schow@bnr-public Mon Jun 12 14:54:16 1989 I am now able to recreate the "empty article body" problem. To recreate: 1) edit .newsrc to get 'sci.space 1-4160' 2) go into rn and get to sci.space. (I have all other groups uptodate so I get into sci.space right away). 3) it should shoule article 4161 first. Both ^N and n should go to article 4162. 4) Article 4162 will have empty body. As will subsequent articles until I do an N or P. Also, quiting out of rn and going in again seems to clear the problem.
