I have recently compiled and installed nntp-1.5.7, and it works well except for a thirty second delay in connection. I thought I would ask here before I delved into it further. It is running on a sun-4 under Os-4. Any simple fixes available? Thanks, David Fox fox@allegra.att.com

Did you build nntp with a -lresolv ? Do you have a working name
server? This might be the problem.

We are experiencing the same problem. >Did you build nntp with a -lresolv ? Do you have a working name >server? This might be the problem. No, I don't think this is the problem. We're using a version of Lachman's TCP for SysV running on i386 and ns32332 machines, which doesn't have a name server (yet). /sp
