Recently we have noticed the following (mis-)operation. The NNTP level is 1.5.7, the RRN patch level 39. The operation does not fail for an RN on the news host. In a news group with enough articles to have two threads ... 1) g news.group 2) display and article note, the article number (say 123) and CONTENTS 3) "k" kill thread, watch various thread articles get zapped 4) "123" to redisplay the original article 5) see ... The article header say "article 123", but the contents of the article are not article 123. If you request "123" again you may get a 3rd article ... listed as number 123, but the wrong contents. This does not always malfunction, but seems to happen more in larger volume newsgroups. Is this a known problem? Am I missing a patch? Any suggestions? ...Steve
