Well, I finally found the time to upgrade ANU News from 5.8B to 5.9C. Every- thing seemed to build ok but when I tried to feed articles to our ULTRIX machine using NNTP_FEED.EXE died. I looked at NNTP_FEED.C and it appears that the DECNETSTREAM support that was previously added was removed (was this intentional?). I hacked up a version I thought would work and it does for the most part. It'll connect to the NNTP server on ULTRIX and feed the article over but the NNTP server on ULTRIX returns a 436 code (transfer failed). SKIMming articles for remotely served newsgroups works just fine. It's just the feeding of articles to ULTRIX that doesn't work. Has anyone had this problem with 5.9C? Does anyone besides me run NNTP over DECnet between VMS and ULTRIX. I'm running C News on ULTRIX if that's any help. I figured it's worth asking before I go and start playing around with NNTP on ULTRIX.
