SYSTEM - VAX 11/750 - mt Xinu 4.3+NFS Given the following host names ... pilchuck dataio ranier And the following error messages in the nntp syslog file plus /usr/adm/messages ... Jul 24 09:11:51 pilchuck nntpd[18345]: /usr/bin/rnews: uck : is not an identifier Jul 24 09:11:51 pilchuck nntpd[18345]: /usr/bin/rnews: o : is not an identifier Jul 24 09:11:51 pilchuck nntpd[18345]: /usr/bin/rnews: r : is not an identifier Note that the host names are being chopped off after the 5th character and the remainder is being put into the log messages. Does anyone know where this is coming from? I've looked through all of the nntp source plus the B-2.11.19 news source but just can't seem to spot it.
