I think I have discovered a problem with nntp. First, I am running:
C-News (patchdate 7-Sept-90)
NNTP (1.5.10)
rn/rrn (patchlevel 47)
I have found that when client machines (running rrn) attempt to post to
a nonexistent newsgroup (e.g., xyzzy) the users are not informed of the
error, and the dead.article file ends up in /dead.article. This does
not happen on the server machine, only the clients.
Has anyone else seen this? Am I doing something wrong, or is this a
real bug?
