I received these two notes in reply to the lack of PC readers in
my summary of nntp readers.

The ka9q internet software package NOS now has an nntp client in it, and
runs under MS-DOS.  Available by ftp from host 'thumper.bellcore.com'
in pub/ka9q/nos

Have you looked at the KA9Q software?  It's PC TCP/IP, and there is
some NNTP stuff in there.  And yes, it's free.  Look at
thumper.bellcore.com.
