[news.software.nntp] Problem with Nntp-Posting-Host header field

palkovic@calvin.fnal.gov (John A. Palkovic) (12/16/90)

This article has a blank "Nntp-Posting-Host:" header field (at least
the copy on the disk here does). Anyone know why? I'm running nntp
1.5.9 on a Sun 4, SunOS 4.1 on the server (linac.fnal.gov). This
happens whenever a client posts (as far as I can tell). I have seen it
happen with Pnews and GNUS. Articles posted from login shells *on* the
server don't seem to get this header.

It probably means that your DNS is not working properly.
