I vaguely recall a report of nntpd sometimes chmod'ing the root directory to 0666, but I do not have the patch and I'm not even sure I did hear it. I ask only because our server system has recently had its root directory so changed. If this is true and you have the patch, please send it to me (or post it here if it's small enough -- others might benefit). Thanks in advance... Mark Nagel
