phil@inetg1.Arco.Com (Phil Meyer) (01/12/91)
On Monday, we will upgrade our internet host to a SUN4 SparkStation 2. (YAY!)
We are currently running Bnews.
We want to put up Cnews. In my initial inspection of build, I didn't see any
mention of nntp. We are using nntp to receive news. Can this be done with
Cnews?
If so, please enlighten me.
Thanks!

You'll have to rebuild NNTP; modern versions of it have hooks for C News. -- If the Space Shuttle was the answer, | Henry Spencer at U of Toronto Zoology what was the question? | henry@zoo.toronto.edu utzoo!henry

Hint: if you compiled C news using dbz, define DBZ and DMB in the NNTP conf.h file, and add -I/your/c/news/source/include to CFLAGS in the main makefile and /your/c/news/source/libcnews.a to the libraries. Another hint: if you didn't compile C News using dbz, recompile C News. Bill Wisner <wisner@ims.alaska.edu> Gryphon Gang Fairbanks AK 99775 bnug, dude yeah .
