Hello all! I'm part of a small group of people managing a cluster of workstations, and due to the volume of mail passing between us it was suggested that we might create a local newsgroup for the mail instead. This seems like a great idea to us, but we'd prefer to make it available only on our cluster of machines rather than everyone reading news at our main nntp server. So my question goes... Is it possible to set up an nntp server so that it receives only a tiny news feed (possibly only one or two groups), and if an nntp-based-reader (such as nn) tried to access unavailable groups, the connection would be redirected to the main nntp server? The reason this becomes an issue is because we have only a limited (!!) amount of disk space available, and it is certainly not large enough to be able to hold a full news feed. Ideas, solutions, or alternate plans would be highly appreciated... -thumper! adler@betwixt.cs.caltech.edu -- B.
