Has anyone `out there' done any work on authenticated nntp connections? We are a large state university with 12,000+ computer accounts with nntp access plus a large number of public-access microcomputers. We operate the MIT Kerberos V4 authentication software. Has anyone done any work with incorporating Kerberos (or any other) netwide user authentication into the NNTP protocol? Are there any emerging standards for nntp authentication packets? -- Martin R.
