I upgraded NNTP on our newsserver a couple of weeks ago. At first the logging was fine (everything.) Then I made a change in conf.h: 241,242c241,242 < #define STAT_FILE "/usr/local/lib/news/mgdstats" < #define NGDATE_FILE "/usr/local/lib/news/groupdates" --- > # define STAT_FILE "/usr/lib/news/mgdstats" > # define NGDATE_FILE "/usr/lib/news/groupdates" 248c248 < #define ACTIVE_TIMES_FILE "/usr/local/lib/news/active.times" --- > # define ACTIVE_TIMES_FILE "/usr/lib/news/active.times" Suddenly, my logging was cut to just outgoing connections, summaries and posts, which makes debugging stuff from some of the more exotic clients a bear. I've poked through the code, I can't tell why. I've had more experienced programers look at it, they can't tell why. Has anyone else run into this, and what is the fix. I want my complete logs back!! -- -- Vnend, Lottery winner #316 Ignorance is the mother of adventure. vnend@princeton.edu, vnend@pucc.bitnet, or {backbone}!princeton!nudity!vnend Anonymous posting service (NO FLAMES!):vnend@ms.uky.edu "Hey mom!
