Y'all It appears that Microport would like to control their BBS which has hints, code and bug reports. Would someone (perhaps in CA) mind reposting helpful things to this forum? Bug reports and update notices would be particularly appreciated. I have asked their tech support to do this but I believe there is a conflict of interest in the USENET which companies that have their "own" group must be very mindful of. Anyone interested in furthering the info? -- David F. Anyone interested in furthering the info? Perhaps Microport should consider joing the 'biz' distribution. Biz was set up specifically for manufacturers who want to post product announcements, bug lists, and other material of a commercial nature. Biz groups are distributed under the same policy as the alt groups. You must ask for a feed of a particular group. This allows a site to subscribe to certain catagories of the groups (eg. biz.comp.telebit) while ignoring (and not paying LD charges for) groups that are not relevent to what you are interested in. If you're interested in finding out more about the biz groups, send mail to ddsw1!karl, or to me. If anyone from Microport is listening, the same offer applies. -- {alberta, telebit, utzoo, uunet}!ncc!lyndon lyndon@Nexus.CA
