I am trying to decide between 2 386 boxes. One with 64K cache, but only capable of 4M of memory (120 nanosecond), and another capable of 10 M memory, (2M of 100 ns memory, and rest 80 nano-sec) Both run at 20MHz clock speed. As Benchmarks are localized often, the one cache runs extremely fast. Is this true when you put Unix on it. Does cache help unix. Anyone out there with American Megatrends cache on their machine.
