I could use some advice on a 386 PC question... Mine has a Phoenix brand bios chip. When it boots up, the system reserves 384K of memory for optionally downloading bios and ega (via DOS software) into ram for greater speed. I wnat to use that 384K for MicroPort Unix. Is there a way to do it? Is the allocation done by the bios chip, and can it be defeated by another bios chip, or is it system dependent. BTW, it is a Suntek-386, which probably nobody ever heard of. Thanks in advance. -- Greg Hackney mechjgh@tness7.UUCP {ihnp4 | bellcore | killer}!tness7!mechjgh
