[comp.unix.microport] Problems ttypatching new asy.o for Digiboard solved 286 SYS V/AT

karl@sugar.UUCP (Karl Lehenbauer) (06/16/88)

I had some difficulty getting the new (recent) asy.o to work with
the Digiboard 8. I would boot the new system, /nsystem5 and then
do the ttypatch command to add the Digiboard 8. The problem is
that ttypatch is hardwired to patch /system5. So for all you
ttypatchers out there, remember, your new kernel must be named
/system5 before using ttypatch.

You can also set an environment variable "SYSTEM" to the name of the
kernel you wish to patch and then run ttypatch.
