I'd like to hear impressions about the pros/cons of these two DOS emulation capabilities. Is one slower than the other? More restrictive? How well does the DOS view of the filesystem mesh with the Unix view? Is DOS access to the display hardware and other h/w resources seamless or painful? Isn't Sun's 386i DOS capability based on DOS/merge? (I ask because I heard alot of favorable comments regarding the quality of the integration of the DOS emulation on the 386i. Is that primarily due to the quality of DOS/Merge, Sun's efforts or both?) Please e-mail me and I'll acknowledge. If you don't get an acknowledgement to me, please post. Thanks.
