We are beginning the process of moving our product to R3.2 from R3.0. We have been using Execelan software to provide sockets and TCP/ip. Execelan does not have TCP/ip for R3.2 (maybe someday). I won't go into their other problems. So we are in the market for a new TCP/ip vendor. Suggestions? Currently we are considering: 1) Wollengong tcp/ip on the PC/586 board 2) Lachman Associates tcp/ip 3) Interlan tcp/ip on Micom board. I have only seen (1), so (2) and (3) may be an inaccurate description of their product. NFS is also desirable. Questions: Are there any other products available? Which product is most compatible or standard?.. (4.X bsd, XOPEN ...etc) Which product is most reliable? Is there an X-windows supporting Microfield graphics that is compatible with this tcp/ip? PS what ever happened to comp.unix.i386 & comp.unix.i286 ??????? Joel Clark joel@intelisc.intel.COM Intel Scientific Comp. {tektronix}!ogcvax!intelisc!joel Beaverton, OR (503) 629-7732
