[comp.unix.microport] uucp and mail questions

cab@hropus.UUCP (Courtney A Brown) (11/17/88)

I am trying to get HDB uucp working on microport System V/AT 2.4
(286 port of the UNIX (R) operating system). This is not the uport
BBS distribution of HDB. The following is a
copy of the error message reported when I try to send mail to a user
on the uport system from a 3B2 running SVR3.1 with HDB:

]>From uucp Wed Oct 26 22:06 EDT 1988 remote from systemx
]Status: R
]remote execution	[uucp job systemxN6ac6 (10/26-22:06:05)]
]	rmail user
]exited with status 100

mail from the uport system to the 3B2 executes with out a hitch.
All the files on the uport system seem to be in order (Permissions, etc).
and mail/rmail is indeed executed by uucico. Before I sacrifice any
more brain cells (which I can't afford), and time (which I never seem to
have) tracing through mail, can anyone point out what I might be overlooking?
Directories and Directory permissions perhaps?

THANX
CAB

try this. mv uuxqt to uuxqt.real and send some mail to your system
from a remote. then run uuxqt.real -x9. uuxqt should tell you what
the trouble is.
