Hi there, this is Microport speaking.
Microport is currently taking orders, shipping products and supporting
customers despite the rumors that have been flying around the past few weeks,
in fact we are announcing a new product; DOS MERGE version 2.0 for the
286 UNIX.
This new version contain all the device driver and kernel modifications
that we have done to our 2.4 runtime product. Additional improvements
and bug fixes are as listed:
1. Inststallation of Ventura Publisher Version 1.1 can now be accomplished.
2. Bug which prevents Microsoft Works to create new files and Borland's
Quattro has been fixed.
3. Creation of new files using DOS function 0x5B has been corrected. Problem
appeared when using pfs:First Choice, pfs:Professional Write and
pfs:Professional File.
4. Number of concurrently opened files has been raised to 50, corresponding
to the limit of our 2.4 product.
5. The Hercules Graphics Card and similar compatibles are now supported.
6. Bug which prevents interrupts on IRQ5 has been corrected. Therefore,
second printers, bus mouse and other devices will now work.
7. Documentations updated.
8. Console driver will support 25 lines, special terminfo description
ansi-24 is now obsolete.
