[net.music] Request for a Song

foy@aero.ARPA (Richard Foy) (08/20/85)

I have a great desire for the words and music for a song. Is there anyone(s)
in netland who can create them.

The thoughts that I have regarding the song are:
1. It should be easy to sing.
2. It should express love for beautifull, clean enviornment, where people
strive together for a better world instead of fight each other and destroy
   the world. All expressed positively.
3. It should be inspiring, energizing and uplifting.
4. It should be able to be used as a theme song for all people who want and
and are willing to work for the things in 2.

A few months ago I attended a Beyond War meeting. They showed an interesting
film on war. It included clips and quotes showing various important men
claiming that a new weapon had made war unthinkable. The Gatling gun was a
particularly good example. They showed the talks about it being too horrible.
Next there was the stirring music of the charge etc. Then were the scenes of
men being mowed down like grass with the machine guns firing.

The part that was interesting to me about this movie was that in spite of
my attitudes, the music stimulated me into the feelings of the charge.

It is a similiar thing that I would like a song to be able to do. I want the
words and music to get people excited about saving our species from the
dangers of pollution and nuclear war.

I hope that I have expressed this thought well enough for someone to create
something.

How about 'I'd like to buy the world a coke'

(I won't sign this, but you'll figure it out from the sender-data anyway.)
