A friend of mine has been trying, without success, to bring up Microport SV/AT 2.4.0 on an AT clone which uses an Adaptec 2370 RLL disk controller (same as Adaptec 2372 except no floppy controller). The controller/disk combo are known to work under MS-DOS 3.3, but Microport's installation fails after formatting and during its attempt to make file systems. No further details given. Has anybody successfully installed this system with this type of controller, and if so, were there any particular tricks involved outside of the usual installation sequence? Thanks in advance.
