[comp.unix.microport] What Unix for a 286?

lfk@mbio.med.upenn.edu (Lee Kolakowski) (05/04/89)

I am looking for the best way to go from MKS and DOS to a version of
Unix. I have a 286 machine, and now that uPort is an unreliable
supplier of porduct and service, what are the options and how many $$.
A 286->386 upgrade and Everex Enix looks the best. Are there any other
286 unixes other than the highly over priced SCO Xenix product?

Call VenturCOM in Cambridge, MA and ask about Venix 286.
