[comp.unix.microport] Help with Broken sadc

rock@rancho.UUCP (Rock Kent) (06/26/89)

I'm running Microport's Sys V/386 ver 3.0e with DOSMERGE.

I just managed to rebuild my kernel incorporating Jim Murray's asy.c
async driver. While the build went OK, when I boot up under the new
kernel, I get the message:
               sadc: Not enough space.
and I can no longer access the process table. I get garbage for
output in response to a ps.

I would appreciate any comments on what sadc depends on to work
properly and, in particular, what I need to change to have sadc work
in the new kernel. Tunable parameter?

I asked about booting up under a new kernel saying:

Thanks to johna@grumpy.ima.isc.com, hue@netcom, and jhood@biar.uu.net,
each of whom correctly advised me that I needed to make sure the file
I was booting from was named /unix. I changed the name to /unix from
/unix.JMhfc ( "kernel with Jim Murray's asy driver with hardware flow
control enabled" ) and everything seems to work fine.
