This is an attempted uucp initiated on taesat requesting a file on
bigbroth. It looks like the machines connect, login is successful,
then agree on g protocol, a TM.xxx file is created on taesat, then
something happens -- what? The problem is apparently on taesat.
taesat an AT PC runs microport 286 version(?)5.2.1 (pre HDB)
bigbroth is a 3b2/400 runs Sys V 3.1.
On taesat bigbroth is in L.sys
On bigbroth taesat is in Systems and Permissions
On taesat, there is also a truncated entry for bigbro since the uucp
(prior to HDB) only handles 6 characters for a system name.
The problem is that taesat seems unable to deal internally with the
file after bigbroth!uucp has transmitted it to taesat. There is the
same type of failure whether the transfer is initiated on bigbroth or
on taesat.
Any idea what causes the failure? Thanx for any suggestions. Several
of the relevant debugging and tracing files are copied below from both
machines.
