Hi, I remember someone explaining how to increase ulimit on V/AT, some time ago. I run V/AT 2.4 with the ulimit set at 1.2M (the distributed setting) I need to have some files larger than this. Could someone please tell me how?, or if you have a copy of the original posting please e-mail it to me. Thanks, --Mike -- |Michael A. I don't have SVAT up any more, but as I recall you need to use patch on something named .ulimit or ulpatch or .ulpatch: use patch on the kernel with these arguments and see if you get a reasonable value. Then patch the kernel; you might want to make a shell script with these and clock patches, etc., if you rebuild your kernel from time to time. (If you're really in trouble I might be able to dig it out of an old backup tape but it'll take a long time.) -- Norman Kohn | ...ddsw1!nvk Chicago, Il. | days/ans svc: (312) 650-6840 | eves: (312) 373-0564
