Every now and then my AST Async Cluster Adapter stops responding after a (warm) reboot. Buried in the manual is the answer: NOTE An I/O write command to address 02BFh or 01BFh must be performed after each reset or powerup to enable interrupts from the channels not configured as COM1 or COM2. I'm running the board in "enhanced" mode, using the regular Microport serial driver, and installed via: /etc/ttypatch -t2 -n4 -i3 -v447 -a416 -m0 In those instances when it stops responding, a poweroff/poweron takes care of everything. But this is a bit inconvenient. Shall I proceed with creating a "reset" program to be invoked at boot time, am I overlooking something obvious somewhere, or has someone already solved this problem?
