[net.micro] TRS-80 Model 100 RAM chips

Unless nmtvax!tim can shed more light on this subject I know
of only three suppliers of Model 100 Ram add-on memory.
They are as follows:
Holmes Eng. in Nevada
Purple Computing in California
P.G. Designs in Michigan

They supply a Hitachi part HM-6264LP on a PC board that plugs into
the RAM slot on the model 100. This is not to be confused with
the actual RAM chips supplied by RS. BTW the ones supplied by RS
have two Toshiba 5214 chips mounted on a ceramic carrier (not four
as previously mentioned). The PC mount HM6264LP RAM modules are said
to consume less power than the RS counterpart. I got my information
from The Portable 100 Magazine and from Compuserve. Compuserve
has lots of programs and info on the Model 100.
