Stealing software is as moral as stealing a parking place from someone
who has waited in the proper lane with their turn signal flashing.
The same kind of selfish idiot will do both. Software piracy is not
a victimless crime. Someone invested their time and intelligence into
that software. Then some idiot uses his selfish ignorance to steal that.
If the software pirate is so clever why doesn't he write his own version.
Stealing software is not consenting sex but rape; there is a victim.
... So much for the sex,, cider, and newspaper stand network.
