I am interested in the enzymatic addition of either a phosphate or
sulphate group to a hydroxyl group in a number of related compounds. I am
aware of the kinases that will transfer a phosphate to a carbohydrate type
of hydroxyl group but I am looking for one that will transfer a phosphate to
a "benzylic" hydroxyl group. In addition, this transfer should be specific
because the compounds I will be looking at will have a number of hydroxyls on
an alkyl side chain, which I do NOT want phosphorylated. Any help for a
struggling analytical chemist would be greatly appreciated!!!!
