[bionet.molbio.evolution] New Dan Davison tRNA and tDNA database available.

SYEH@BIONET-20.BIO.NET (Spencer Yeh) (01/18/89)

Dear Bionet Users,

Dan Davison has kindly provided BIONET with a computer-readable form
of his Transfer RNA Database in IntelliGenetics format for use on
BIONET. This database is composed of tRNA sequences and sequences of
tRNA genes obtained from the Sprinzl, et. al., compilation in the 1986
Nucleic Acids Research Sequences Supplement, Vol. 15 (1987). There
are currently 871 sequences in the current release. A future release
of this database will also include a smaller database of 16S rRNA
sequences.

BIONET users should see the on-line help topic HELP RNA for details on
how to use this database.

Dan Davison may be reached by e-mail to
"goad.davison@bionet-20.bio.net" for further information about the RNA
database.

BIONET would like to thank Dan Davison for his efforts at reformatting
the database, checking for errors, eliminating duplicate names and
entries, and for providing documentation on the database.

Please feel free to send any comments or suggestions regarding the RNA
Database to Dan Davison or to the BIONET consultant.

Sincerely,
