[net.micro] submission of software ideas

RNeal@his-phoenix-multics.arpa (04/09/84)

Do any of you out there have any thoughts (or experience) on submitting
software ideas to software game companies? I have a great idea for a
program, have thought out all the user interaction, etc., I just don't
have the programming expertise (assembly language for speed) or the
hardware. Do companies pay for ideas? Ie. if someone had sent Bill
Budge the idea and user visable information for "Pinball Construction
Set", would he have coded it, and would they be getting royalties now?
What would you suggest for aquiring more information on this subject?
There is no other program like this on the market (that I know of) and
it might be a good seller.

thanks for any help >RUSTY<

ps. Hurray for Mark and his comment about cassettes and video
recorders!
How many of you out there who are against software piracy have a
video recorder and are copying movies (and probably have HBO too).
    Come on, fess up!
