[bionet.molbio.evolution] Human Sexual Response

========================================================================

Dear People,
     I realize that this question may be inappropriate for this list, but I
don't know of any other list which might provide me with a better answer. A
few months ago, I came across a quote somewhere which claimed that the human
female is the only female capable of orgasm. Is this true? Documentation or a
helpful point in the right direction (bibliography maybe?) would be much
appreciated if such is the case. Thank you for your indulgence.

Sarah Hrdy's book "The Woman that Never Evolved" discusses evidence to the
effect that female monkeys also experience orgasm.
