I had a problem here, I thought I fixed but obviously I didn't. In my Permissions file I have: Sample : MACHINE=machineA LOGNAME=UmachineA \ REQUEST=yes SENDFILES=yes \ READ=/usr/spool/uucppublic WRITE=/usr/spool/uucppublic \ COMMANDS=rmail VALIDATE=machineA Note, there is no MACHINE=OTHER entry. For some reason, someone logged in as UmachineA (for argument sake) and didn't have their machine name set to "machineA" What's wrong? I thought VALIDATE would insure that.
