From: David Kristofferson <Kristofferson@BIONET-20.ARPA> The following info is excerpted from a message from Doug Brutlag. The files referred to are usable in the QUEST program. --------------- Mail-From: BRUTLAG created at 20-Nov-87 15:14:48 Date: Fri 20 Nov 87 15:14:48-PST From: Doug Brutlag <brutlag@BIONET-20.ARPA> Subject: Re: concensus sequences++ To: chas@stork.bcm.tmc.edu.mx cc: kristofferson@BIONET-20.ARPA In-Reply-To: <8711201958.AA00211@stork.bcm.tmc.edu> Message-ID: <12352217051.23.BRUTLAG@BIONET-20.ARPA> Charlie, . . . Also, the files you want are on Bionet. The file <IG>GNOMIC.KEY has all of the non tandemly repeated consensus sequences longer than 3 bases (I did not want to keep codons in the consensus table). The file <IG>TANDEM.KEY has all of the tandem repeats from GNOMIC. Both files are built from sequences sent to us by Trifonov. Also he did not include the restriction enzyme cleavage sites in these files and you can find those in <IG>REST.KEY or a more up-to-date list in <BRUTLAG>REST.KEY. Cheers, Doug ------- -------
